Adult and sub-adult rats are available for adoption at a discount of 50% off. Adult rats available include retired breeders, breeder hold backs, and young rats who did not sell before 12 weeks old.
We have specific requirements and high standards for our breeder rats. Sometimes we chose not to breed our hold backs because we simply no longer need their genes anymore because another rat is a better fit. Other times we chose not to breed a keeper rat for the health of our babies. If our breeder rats develope an URI or any other illness at any point or there are signs of congenital defects or hormonal aggression within their line, we will not breed them. This, however, does not mean that they won't make amazing pets!
